The following instructions and recommendations are based on the data gathered through our 15+ years in the market. We do our best to list most brands and as many models as possible. We also try to make sure the information provided is accurate but please note, manufacturers can make running changes that we are not aware of until reported by a customer. We do our best to list those exceptions but keep in mind this is just a guide and the best way to troubleshoot an installation is to interact with a Technical Support Specialist either over the phone or via e-mail.
Most Poulan models come with a Bump & Feed style head however, a few of the newer ones come with a Fixed Line head. Due to the adapter needed for the installation on a model with a Fixed Line head, the selection of GrassGator heads that will fit these models is limited. Please follow the special instructions and recommendations below.
We fit most models that come with Bump and Feed style heads.
The fastener required for most installations comes in the kit including the bolt for the Fixed Line models.
For straight shaft models 25cc + that come with a Bump & Feed style head we recommend the following GrassGator models: 3600, 4600, 4620, 4680, 3630, 7800, 4750, 5600, 5620 or 8010.

For trimmers that come with a Fixed Line head regardless if they are straight or curved we recommend the following GrassGator models: 3600, 5600 , 5620 or 8010.
Most curved shaft models that come with a Bump & Feed style head follow the curved shaft instructions while straight shafts with Bump & Feed heads follow the straight shaft instructions.
Fixed line head models follow these instructions.
We have successful installations logged for the following models: PP125 and PP350.
The shaft on the PP335 is too short to let the nut thread all the way through.
We are sorry to say we don't fit the following models: P1500, P2100 due to the lack of a threaded shaft.
